Target: 04/30/2011

I am excited about my first couponing trip to Target!  I have shopped a million times at Target, but I don't think that I ever used coupons.


Retail Prices:

• 2 Boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars: $1.00 each (Total: $2.00)
• 1 Purple Bottle of Lysol Disinfecting Wipes: $2.04
• 2 Boxes of Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kits: $0.97 each (Total: $1.94)
• 2 Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm: $2.99 each (Total: $5.98)

SubTotal: $11.96

My Prices: 

• 2 Boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars: $2.00 - $1.00 Target Coupon = $1.00 - $.50 Coupon = $0.50 - $.50 Coupon = $0.00
• 1 Purple Bottle of Lysol Disinfecting Wipes: $2.04 - $0.15 Sale = $1.89 - $0.75 Coupon = $1.14 - $1.50 Coupon = -$0.36
• 2 Boxes of Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kits: $1.94 - $1.50 Coupon = $0.44
• 2 Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm: $5.98 - {Free Lip Balm Coupon}2.99 = $2.99 - $1.00 Coupon = $1.99

My SubTotal: $2.07

And then because I paid with my Target RedCard, I received 5% off of my total.  5% of $2.07 = $0.11

$2.07- $0.11 = $1.96

$11.96 - $1.96 = Savings of $10.00

Even with the tax of $0.44, I am happy with my purchase costing $2.40 for all 7 items!

I am very pleased with my first Extreme Couponing trip to Target! :)

Also, I just read something exciting on the receipt: "Get 5 cents off every time you use a reusable bag!"

I don't know if that means 5 cents off per bag per transaction or just 5 cents off your total transaction no matter how many bags you use.  But still, all good things to know! :)
